RedRocks Firebrick Pizzeria is worth more than the three block trek that it takes me to arrive at my neighborhood default brunch spot. I come for 2 things: the pizza omelette and (no surprise here) the bottomless mimosas ($9). I love the pizza omelette so much that when I am particularly hungry from the night before I call ahead so that I can roll up in my shades and hoodie to pick up my omelette and scarf it down in the privacy of my apartment.
A part of my RedRocks routine is complaining about the weak mimosas, but I love them anyway, I just sit there longer and make sure I drink a bottle’s worth of champagne no matter how long it takes! My strategy works, they are constantly refilling your glass.
As for dinner at RedRocks, well.. its delicious. The house wine is good, the beer list is better… its a shame that most of the time when I’m in the mood to “go out” to dinner the proximity of RedRocks is just too close for me to get excited.
