Welcome to The Bottomless Mimosa! We are Sydney and Caryn, and we’re nerds who enjoy the finer things. Here you will find tips and stories about brunch, happy hour, and events in Washington, DC. You’ll also find our world-famous—okay, locally famous—Bottomless Brunch Guide, a list of everywhere you can find a bottomless mimosa in town. Cheers!
Sydney is a major city snob with a major weakness for hipsters, dive bars, the Hirshhorn Museum, and roof top decks. You can also find her perpetually bitching about paying covers, poor seating, and violations of health codes (city or Sydney mandated). New media and marketing is a long time passion of hers so you may catch her hushing you during the commercial breaks and obsessing over great advertisements. Follow her as she documents her love/hate relationship with her hometown.

Caryn is a Michigan native, and she’ll show you where specifically by making a Michigan-shape out of her hand and pointing to her hometown. You can find her trying to be productive with a glass of wine at Union Market, frolicking around cherry blossoms in the springtime, or on the perpetual lookout for a properly prepared Old Fashioned (whiskey, Angostura Bitters, simple syrup, big ice cube, lemon twist. the end). Her interests include discussing the representations of gender on television, drawing cartoons reminiscent of relationships past, and tap dancing.

Kiki Janssens has two great loves of her life: her incredibly fat and cuddly cat, Pazzo, and anything having to do with mustaches. Her boyfriend is pretty ok as well. She’s currently living in DC spending way too much money eating and drinking her way through the city. In her spare time she likes to run races in bright pink pants and has an unhealthy obsession with the movie Taken. She recently achieved a life goal of getting an entire craft corner in her new apartment, and is convinced her fiancé is plotting a Pinterest intervention.
